The interior of the room and hotel.
Cab driver doesn't know how to go there.
Personel was really nice and the leady at the reception desk spoke very good english. She was also quite helpful. Furniture and design were nice. Great restaurant at Andingmen Street (near the hotel). There was WiFi in rooms which worked quite well. Metro Station about 700m from the hotel.
Very small courtyard (and restaurant). Very thin walls (not for a honeymoon for sure). Food ok, but quite expensive and small portions. The street with entrance stinks. For tourists I would recommend something nearer to the center of the city. I wouldn't give 4*. It is more like 3*.
historic old world setting combined with great service and staff
Funny place in the middle of hutongs. Nice courtyard and friendly staff.
Quite noisy because all the rooms are in the courtyard. Rooms very small. When leaving to the airport, better take taxi on your own because the hotel ask you for a fixe price of 150 yuan, which is very expensive!
Terry (desk clerk) was extremely helpful, and very pleasant. Went out of his way to make sure I got on my way safely to the airport when I left.
Hard to find, even for my taxi driver. Perhaps something more could be said on the website to warn us to print a map.
Typical Chinese decoration , Location near a subway
Very noisy , no real shower , its with the closets! No real services ( internet doesnt really work ! Staff is ok but very slow ! Breafast is poor ! Located in a very poor area
Very nice hotel and facility. Locate is great and close to subway.
Design. Very helpful staff willing to book cars, restaurants, etc.
Style of hotel and rooms, friendly staff
Access to the hotel is unusual, hard to find it
The food was cheap and so were the drinks. It has a great location. A bit scary at first, because it is in a hutong, but after the first time you realise there's nothing to be afraid of anytime of the day or night.
The price is a bit expensive, since its not a 4 stars hotel. The toilet was pretty bad and small, and there is no intimacy (the walls are paper-thin).
Staff was really helpful. Nice old house in a typical hutong area. I personally loved the location (although a bit difficult to find the first time). Still, I rated the location as "fair" because I think most travelers would want to be a bit closer to the bars/shops area.
The rooms with windows towards the hallway, on the ground floor, don't have much privacy. You can hear everything going on in the reception area, even if the staff is very nice and quiet. Other guests were quiet too, but I didn't want to take the chance and moved to one of the rooms upstairs.
Very cute, boutique hotel. Service is great. Access to bus, taxi and subway is so close. Tours are readily available and easily organised. Overall a great place to stay. Rooftop patio is great. Very clean and very safe. Totally loved staying here for all 10 nights.
Menus need to be edited (I ordered what was written as chicken and it came as tuna..... Cos the chef doesnt speak english). Can be a little noisy but most people respect the signs to keep noise down late at night.
Excellent location, Metro Station was really close. Also atmosphere in the hutong area (is really nice and authentic. Staff was speaking really good English and they were giving tips for thing to do. You were also able to arrange day trip trough the hotel. Hotel had nice and traditional decoration and delicious breakfast was included in the room price.
Room was nice, but quite modest. Huone oli mukava, mutta vaatimaton.
I don't understand how this hotel can be rated as 4 stars.I Will the rate the bathroom as motel level. And the 2nd day I stayed there because it was the owner son's wedding day, I only got a piece of tiny sandwich as the breakfast.
Pretty much everything - what a fantastic find! I have already recommended it to several friends and, if I go back to Beijing, we will absolutely stay here again.
